Lemming
Lemmings do not commit collective suicide. But they will stop and scream and potentially attack you. I have thought about this, and the only explanation I can come up with, is that they are slow running over the heather. So they can hardly outrun anything. The only option is to stop, scream and potentially bite. And they will bite. Good thing they are the size of a hamster.
