shelter from the storm

One of the boys ended up in hospital for a few days, and everything stopped for 48 hours or so. We had a glimpse into the health care system here, and it was – retrospectively – interesting. As a foreigner here with the insurance in order, it was still a fight, and have mercy on the poor bastards that end up in hospital here on their own. Up to the eyeballs on morphine, I doubt dealing with anal insurance-people is what you want. The woman was absurd, rude and a wall. It worked out eventually. I used all my self control not to smash something. Having said that; the doctors & the surgeons where all professional, considerate and helpful.
